pmProgress Insight
pmProgress is designed for environments in which a large number of activities have to be progressed over a very short time-span. Typical use is a turn-around environment in the (petro-) chemical industry.pmProgress allows multiple users to simultaneously update a Primavera Project, each having their own authorizations. Progress entry can be performed by means of keyboard entry, mouse, touch-screen or even bar-code input – all simultaneously.
What are the advantages of using pmProgress?
You do not need trained P3 users to enter your progress in your project. Another advantage is that pmProgress can be used to signal activity status to other users. You can have – for instance – an inspector waiting until a certain type of activity is finished before he can start his work. By creating a layout for this user with read-only rights on the contractor’s activities the inspector can immediately see when the activity is finished (pressing F5 in pmProgress will immediately update his layout with the current status). By using layouts in this way a time-compression can be achieved due to the fact that verbal communication is not necessary. Furthermore contractors are kept up-to-date on the status of preceding activities to their own activities. In practice this will reduce “waiting time” to a minimum.
